11. App Functionality and Data Charges

Certain functions of FAM may require an active internet connection, either via Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider. FAM cannot be held responsible for FAM’s reduced functionality if you lack access to Wi-Fi or data.

When using FAM outside of a Wi-Fi area, remember that your mobile network provider’s terms of agreement will apply. You may be charged by your mobile provider for data usage while accessing FAM. By using FAM, you accept responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if applicable. If you are not the bill payer for the device used with FAM, ensure you have obtained permission from the bill payer to use FAM.

12. Limitation of Liability

FAM cannot assume responsibility for how you use FAM. You are responsible for ensuring that your device remains charged. Failure to maintain a charged device may result in an inability to access the service, for which FAM cannot be held liable.

FAM strives to ensure FAM’s accuracy and currency but relies on third parties for information. Therefore, FAM accepts no liability for any direct or indirect losses resulting from your reliance on FAM’s functionality.

13. Updates and Termination

FAM may release updates for FAM. FAM is currently available on Android and iOS platforms, and requirements for both systems may change. It is your responsibility to download updates to continue using FAM. FAM does not guarantee continuous updates to align with your device’s operating system.

FAM may choose to discontinue FAM and terminate its use at any time without notice. Unless stated otherwise, upon termination: (a) The rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will cease. (b) You must cease using FAM and, if necessary, delete it from your device.

14. Copyrighted Material and Removal Requests

FAM complies with the DMCA and will promptly respond to valid DMCA takedown notices. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. 

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on FAM without authorization, you may submit a request for removal in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) by clicking on the report icon (i) on the meme card. A member of our team will respond by requesting the following information:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, along with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material.
• Information for contacting the copyright owner, such as an address, telephone number, or email address.
• A statement that the copyright owner has a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

All articles submitted to FAM must be a maximum of 330 words in length. This ensures that our content is concise and easily digestible for our readers.

18. Profanity and Inappropriate Content

FAM maintains a zero-tolerance policy for profanity, hate speech, racism, or any other form of inappropriate or offensive content. All submissions must be family-friendly and align with our core values of teaching, entertaining, and inspiring our audience.

19. Content Categories

Each meme or article must fall within one of the designated categories available in the dropdown menu. This helps us organize and curate our content to better serve our users.

20. Moderation Process

All submissions will undergo a moderation process before being published on the FAM platform. This process can take up to 72 hours, and you will receive an email notification once your content has been approved or rejected. If you receive a rejection, you will receive an email with modification instructions. After which time, you can resubmit. 

21. Ownership and Copyright

By submitting your memes or articles to FAM, you affirm that you are the rightful owner of the content and have the necessary permissions to share it. FAM retains the right to use your submitted content on our platform, but you maintain ownership and copyright. However, we cannot be held liable for any content that is stolen, reproduced, or used without permission.

22. Intellectual Property Guidelines

It is your responsibility to ensure that your submissions adhere to all applicable copyright laws and intellectual property guidelines. FAM reserves the right to remove any content that infringes on the rights of others.
